PFA duty of care (orientation)
Under the Pension Funds Act framework, boards of funds are expected to act with due care, diligence, and good faith in members’ interests. This orientation page restates that idea in plain language for staging education — it is not a legal opinion.
In practice, duty of care shows up in how boards prepare, challenge, minute, and follow up: investment monitoring, cost review, service-provider oversight, and member communication. Delegating work does not remove oversight responsibility.
Use this page to frame workshop discussion questions, then return to fund rules, FSCA guidance, and licensed advisers for fund-specific application. CPD metadata below is a placeholder only.
