Disclosure basics for boards
Members and boards rely on clear disclosure of costs, risks, and benefits. Disclosure basics mean: know what document you are reading, who issued it, as-at dates, and whether figures are illustrative or fund-specific.
Boards should separate (a) statutory or regulator-facing disclosures, (b) member booklets and fund communication, and (c) education material such as Benefits Desk. Only (a) and (b) belong in decision files as primary sources.
If a number cannot be traced to a primary disclosure, label it hypothetical or remove it. CPD metadata on this page is structural only.
